A fresh rumor is about the technical specifications of Meizu Pro 7 from China. In particular, it is reported that this smartphone will not be at all flagship, referring rather to the average price range.

In general, until now it was believed that Meizu Pro 7 should get a relatively inexpensive, but quite productive processor MediaTek Helio X30, which in its capabilities is close to last year's Qualcomm Snapdragon 821.

However, an unnamed source from China announced recently that the new Meizu will receive a much slower Snapdragon 653 chipset, which in performance resembles the top-of-the-range Snapdragon 810 by 2015 standards.

But Meizu Pro 7 will, allegedly, be completed immediately with 6 Gb of RAM. However, special "acceleration" a large amount of RAM relatively slow processor, in any case, will not.

Also, the smartphone has a 5.2-inch screen with QHD resolution of 1440 × 2560 pixels, a dual main camera of 12 MP + 12 MP, a 3500 mAh battery and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with the Flyme OS out of the box.

The most interesting thing is that the "insider" named the cost of Meizu Pro 7, which is supposedly 2899 yuan (about 420 US dollars). Perhaps this is the only time in which these "leaks" are similar to more or less reliable.

To begin with, representatives of Meizu have already stated that a smartphone based on Qualcomm's chipset will be ready by the end of 2017. Secondly, the reputation of the line and so stained with last year's Pro 6, so that even lower its status, using a very slow processor, there is definitely no sense.

In principle, unlike the same Samsung Galaxy S8 or Xiaomi Mi6, the Meizu Pro 7 specification so far contains too many "blank spots".
