Netflix Review: This marks the streaming service in Europe

Image
With "Better Call Saul" or "House of Cards", Netflix in the review is at the forefront of the Europe streaming market. The US service offers a considerable series offer, which is characterized by exclusive self-production. We test what Netflix can do and explain everything worth knowing about prices, operation, quality and compatible end devices. Netflix's core content and absolute focus are self-financed in-house productions. Here, the company is clearly aware of its long market presence in the US and the associated enormous budget. With "Bloodline", "House of Cards" and "Orange Is the New Black" are only some of the successful in-house productions, with which Netflix can clearly stand out from Amazon and Co. A look at the upcoming releases shows impressively that Netflix understands more and more as a production company with an appropriate streaming offer. At all, the range of current series is well developed - even aw...

Asus TP300 Transformer Book Flip Review: Convertible with 360 Degree Display

Image
Convertibles with external graphics are not exactly like sand at sea. The Asus TP300 Transformer Book Flip features a GeForce 820M by Nvidia. The test shows: The Asus convertible makes its thing well, but is oriented more clearly towards the notebook than in the direction of Tablet PC. The Asus TP300 Transformer Book Flip is the name of the program: Special hinges allow you to fold the display 360 degrees backward. This creates a kind of oversized tablet computer with Windows 8.1. This concept, with all its advantages and disadvantages, is no longer new. Pioneer Lenovo has made it with the yoga series. And many other manufacturers followed this example. However, you should ask the Transformer Book Flip as with any of these devices , if you really need the transformation skills in everyday life. Processing: Asus TP300 Transformer Book Flip With a weight of 1.75 kilograms, the 13-inch test rig is not a light weight, which suggests a robust design. When we first to...

Bluetooth speaker Dockin D Solid Review: Small bass player

Image
For the price of just under 50 euros, the compact Bluetooth speaker D Solid from Dockin in the test quite alarm. Above all, the bass, which escapes from the solid metal case, is impressive. And we also like the other functions such as built-in radio and memory card slot. So far the Sackit Woofit was our favorite if as much sound from a compact housing should come. But the Dockin D Solid could dispute this position. Design and processing: Dockin D Solid  The Satte 425 gram brings this Bluetooth speaker on the editorial scales. It is not much bigger than a standard tennis ball. The processing is very good - here wobbles nothing, even if we do not shake the mini-speaker vigorously back and forth. The underside is made of a non-slip, rubber-like material. This even allows the D Solid to be fixed perpendicularly to the wall according to the Gekko principle. We would not recommend this. Unfortunately, over the course of time, a lot of dust and other dirt accumul...

Samsung DeX docking station: turn your Galaxy S8 into a full-fledged PC

Image
Samsung DeX docking station allows you to turn your Galaxy S8 or S8 + into a practically full-fledged PC. It remains to add only a keyboard and mouse with Bluetooth or USB interfaces. This device is definitely worth a separate review. Externally DeX looks like a small cylinder of black color. It weighs only 230 g and easily fits, for example, in a backpack and can be taken on a trip. There is a built-in fan for cooling the Galaxy S8. Separately, Samsung DeX will cost about $ 150, so far the manufacturer and its partners have not announced the official cost of the device. Sales of the accessory in Russia are expected from April 21, pre-order is still not possible. Samsung Galaxy S8 itself is connected via USB Type-C, it can be charged during operation (the docking station is powered by the standard charging from the smartphone). Adaptive Fast Charging Adaptive Fast Charging (AFC) is supported. Samsung DeX Interfaces •       ...

Samsung Galaxy S8 (Plus) Review: Screen you look at forever!

Image
Samsung wants to make the Galaxy S8 forget the note 7 debacles. The South Korean manufacturer mainly uses three new features: Bixby, DeX, and Infinity. In the short test, especially one of these three "Samsung Angels" shows weaknesses. Is the Samsung Galaxy S8 still flying high?   The sparrows whistle it away from all the secrecy already from the rooftops: Samsung sets with the Galaxy S8 on a new design. The upheaval is not quite as radical as its time when switching from the Galaxy S5 to the Galaxy S6. However, it is distinctive. Samsung has made the Galaxy S8 the goal, as much as possible to place a display in as small a case as possible.

Lenovo Yoga 910 Review: When you feel the beast!

Image
Stylish design, cursed thin, top finish and still foldable. 2in1 devices are big in fashion. I also let the concept seduce me. Whether the relationship with the Lenovo Yoga 910 took a happy end, you will learn here. For a long time, my wallet and I successfully resisted the purchase of a new notebook. Lately,

Honor Magic Review: This smartphone is a initiator device 2017

Image
The Honor Magic presents itself as an initiator in design and operation. The smartphone gives us a good view, which we expect 2017 from top smartphones like the Huawei P10 or the Galaxy S8. Just before Christmas, Honor 2016 presented the Honor Magic a new top smartphone for the Chinese market. Honor is taking a new approach in terms of design and operation and is setting trends which some manufacturers could follow in 2017. Not least the parent company Huawei at its new top model Huawei P10.

Review Acer Predator 17 gaming laptop with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070

Image
In the review , we are testing the new Acer Predator 17 gaming notebook. Equipped with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card, the new high-end model will reach the German market this month. With it, everything the player's heart desires. A fast SSD, Intel Core i7 quad-core processor, and a high-resolution 4K UHD display. Whether the 17 inches convinces, we clarify in our test report. The new Acer Predator 17 notebook review comes under the product code G9-793. Compared to the predecessor G9-792 optically only marginal differences can be observed. Only the ventilation outlet positioned at the rear received a facelift. Thus, we meet again a stable metal housing, which is additionally equipped with a rubberized soft-touch surface. The pre-production status of our G9-793-70F3 configuration probably refers only to the installed components, as externally we meet a very well-processed Acer Predator 17. Of course, such a 17-inch gaming notebook is the main focus. The mobility w...

Review Dell Inspiron 7567 Budget Gaming Laptop

Image
Dell Inspiron 7567 is just a godsend for a gamer, in any case, the manufacturer claims. However, it is easy to agree with him: the device is equipped with a processor generation Kaby Lake, powerful graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, and also has 1 TB of free space for information storage.  However, this is not all: in addition to the productive filling, the laptop can boast of a capacious battery and a bright appearance. The picture is complemented by the cost of the novelty, which pleasantly surprised us, because it is, on average, $ 1100.

Review HTC U Ultra on test: glass smartphone with dual display

Image
HTC wants to get back into the limelight with the 5.7-inch large HTC U Ultra. A glass case, a second display and an artificial intelligence called Sense Companion will help. Is this enough to make Samsung and Apple competing? Who still remembers the time, when Samsung and Apple were not yet divided among themselves the smartphone market? This is not so long ago. In 2010 Samsung's Galaxy series was just born. Instead of Galaxy S and Co. dominated other devices the Android world - notably the HTC Desire and the HTC Wildfire.

At the moment, the second is from $415. In Europe, and the first is not yet sold at all, and the expected price is almost twice as high. Review of Plug-In Headphones Bowers & Wilkins C5

Image
One unique Bowers & Wilkins C5 is an unusual way of wearing, and maybe someone is uncomfortable. Prices for headphones-plugs in recent times do not please. Probably, the reason lies in the fact that at the slightest jump in the dollar, the price per unit of product reacts very, very quickly. That's why there is no special reason to buy freshly baked gadgets of the world of modern musical equipment. Exactly the same can be said about our next guest - Bowers & Wilkins C5 FIRST generation. Why did not they take a look at the newer version and what is the old editorial delight? Answers will be found below.

Teufel BOOMSTER XL vs JBL Charge 3 comparative review

Image
Teufel BOOMSTER XL is a modern boom box, which is a little less bulky in comparison with the TDK 2 SPEAKER BOOMBOX, but more interesting in a number of aspects. The main "chip" is the design of the sound-emitting device. It looks both aggressive and restrained at the same time. And another column called JBL Charge 3, which I waited for this column with all the fibers and I have it! Of course, I will tell you why you want it, too. If you follow my publications, you may already have noticed that I'm slightly obsessed with music gadgets, especially wireless ones. This is my little addiction. I trudge from the wireless headphones and, of course, the speakers. I even have a small music collection, about which I will also tell sometime.

Review Urbanista Melbourne test: Bluetooth speaker for the case

Image
The Urbanista Bluetooth speaker fits into your pocket is about the size of an iPhone SE and nearly three times as thick. In the test of the compact speaker, we do not expect sound miracles but are positively surprised. The part is so strong that it vibrates itself from the table! The Swedish manufacturer Urbanista estimates that the Bluetooth speaker Melbourne will cost 70 euros. The price seems to be quite high; after all, the small cube is just 130 x 65 x 22 millimeters and weighs 195 grams.

Review Teufel Boomster XL in test: Born to tremble!

Image
The Europe loudspeaker manufacturer Teufel offers the Boomster an XL version aside. And we have never seen such a Bluetooth speaker. The thing is as big as two soccer balls - and also sounds the entire sports field. In the test of the Teufel Boomster XL, however, we pay attention not only to the loud but also to the quiet sounds. At the barbecue evening, on the terrace, at the festival, as an icebreaker in the subway or as an alarm system:

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Review: 360-degree OLED notebook

Image
At the CES in Las Vegas, Lenovo presents the ThinkPad X1 Yoga with an OLED screen. As the name suggests, this touchscreen can also be turned 360 degrees backward. In the shortest review, we take a first look at this very special Ultrabook. A notebook with OLED screen - this is a real novelty. The ThinkPad X1 Yoga is also available with a conventional screen. However, if you see both model variants directly next to each other, you will have an intuitive approach to the OLED variant. This is typical for OLED screens , with rich contrast and bright colors.
